Strawberry-Banana Pretzel Pie Recipe

Strawberry-Banana Pretzel Pie Recipe

I recently updated this recipe so it's easier to make and taste better to! The pretzel crust is really the hero of this dessert. The salt from the pretzels perfectly compliments the sweetness of the pie. The real reason I love this though is because it looks so pretty! It would actually be so cute to serve this pink pie along with my pink punch for a baby shower <-- br="" get="" here.="" punch="" recipe="" the="">

Ingredients
2 cups pretzel sticks, finely crushed
3/4 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 banana
1 cup strawberry ice cream, softened
1 cup plain yogurt
2 cups whipping cream, divided
1tbsp sugar

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350°. Stir together pretzel sticks, butter and brown sugar. Firmly press into bottom, up sides, and onto lip of a lightly greased 10-inch pie plate. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Let cool completely.
2. Purée strawberry ice cream, banana ad yogurt in a blender.
3. In a large bowl, beat 3/4 cup whipping cream at high speed until peaks form. Fold in strawberry-banana yogurt mixture. Spoon into pretzel crust. Cover and freeze 8 to 12 hours or until firm.
4. Beat remaining 1 1/4 cups whipping cream with sugar. Spread over pie. Freeze 1 hour or until whipped cream is firm.

Here are some things you might need to make this. By the way, making good-looking crust is way easier using a pie pan with a ledge!
